Dear Boys & Girls Club Parents,

Photo of new CEOAllow me to introduce myself. My name is Hannah Salvesen and I am the new Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of the Greater West Plains Area (BGCWP).  I have many years of experience as a teacher, administrator, event planner, and business executive. I moved to West Plains with my husband, who works with troubled teens, just under a year ago. Since moving here I have been the Theater & Events Coordinator for MSU-West Plains and I am excited to now work with the Boys & Girls Club, as I believe that afterschool programming is a fantastic way for children to learn and grow. I am excited to be a part of your children’s lives and to help shape the future of the Boys & Girls Club of the Greater West Plains Area.

I also write to inform you that within the next few weeks, we will be changing the way we all enter and exit the West Plains Boys & Girls Club Building to bring greater security to the club members. Once we fully convert to our new system, all exterior doors will be smart-locked at all times. For drop-offs and pick-ups, doors will have to be buzzed open by the front office. Our new smart security system is made possible by generous donations from some of our club parents, and we thank them for their kindness and appreciate all our club parents for putting the safety of our children first!  As we roll out this system in the coming weeks, we will reach out with further information.

As a reminder, we do not have a public restroom. Per the Boys & Girls Club national policies, parents, staff, and other adults cannot use the restrooms reserved for the kids during our open hours.

Please feel free to contact me in future about concerns and ideas for the club or to meet in person at [email protected].
